The Other folks’s Joker director Vera Drew has refused to back off after her film used to be pulled from Toronto Global Movie Pageant.
The trans filmmaker has defiantly hit again and claimed she won an ‘indignant letter’ from an unnamed ‘media conglomerate’ in spite of arguing the film falls ‘below parody/honest use’ with its depiction of the enduring DC Comics villain.
Batman’s largest rival – whose rights are held via Warner Bros. – used to be given an exhilarating new twist for The Other folks’s Joker, with a queer id and easily referred to as ‘an unfunny aspiring clown’.
Alternatively, after its premiere in Toronto, the movie used to be pulled and the competition introduced: ‘The filmmaker has withdrawn this movie because of rights problems.

Now, Drew has replied with a remark on Twitter and detailed her long term plans for the movie.

‘Every other movie competition would have pulled us straight away, however after being totally clear with TIFF, we agreed to premiere as deliberate whilst scaling again our later screenings to mitigate doable blowback.
